Village Skip Scheme

Thank you to all of the residents who have made use of the recent Village Skips which seem to fill up quite quickly! They work very well and are well received – it is lovely to hear such positive feedback and this is a service that is planned to be repeated again throughout the coming year ….details will be posted below when future date/s are available.

The ‘Village Skip Scheme’ was initiated by Radnage Parish Council due to the closure of the Bledlow Ridge Recycling Centre, and difficulties for some residents in accessing alternatives, and we were pleased to be able to provide a Builders Skip as a trial for this initiative which proved very successful, as so will be repeated throughout the year to provide a regular way of disposing of your waste items.

The skip will be available at Radnage Village Hall from 10am on ?????
until 11.15am (latest) on ????? 2020

Please click here for details when dates are published.

We hope that this scheme will be helpful to you in disposing of your unwanted items. Please be reasonable and considerate with the items that you bring and treat this opportunity with courtesy & respect for your neighbours and fellow residents.

The skip and items will be monitored whilst on site.

* Please do always consider using sites such as freecycle, freegle and others to give your items to someone else who can give them a new life …they collect, and it’s free

Items that ARE NOT PERMITTED in the skip are – Plasterboard, tyres, asbestos, car batteries, fridge-freezers, clinical waste, food waste, liquids, “smelly” waste, large tree roots/logs, hazardous/corrosive substances, gas cylinders, oily wastes, televisions & monitors, fluorescent tubes, batteries, or any other waste classed as hazardous.

If you have carpets, mattresses, plasterboard, electrical or electronic equipment that you wish to dispose of please CONTACT US FIRST as they will incur charges. If you have large, bulky furniture items such as sofas, wardrobes, bookcases etc, or fridge freezers we can assist you to facilitate a collection by Wycombe District Council – they charge for this service dependent upon the number of items.
