Cranford

The BBC’s classic serial - Cranford will be screened this Autumn. featuring St Mary’s Church as Cranford Parish Church, the filming was over three days in May.

The village of Lacock in Wiltshire was the setting for the main village scenes with addition location work at a number of locations including West Wycombe House as well as Radnage.

The story is based on three novels by Elizabeth Gaskell (Cranford, My Lady Ludlow and Mr Harrison’s Confessions) and is a witty poignant story of the small absurdities and major tragedies in the lives of the people of Cranford, a small market town in 1840s Cheshire.
